Heathwood Inn Bar Harbor 45 and sunny yesterday, below zero wind chill today. But the snow this morning stuck to everthing and was just beautiful. It's pretty here even on a cold, snowy day.

Heathwood Inn Bar Harbor We're getting a dusting of snow tonight. It's the kind of snow with the big fluffy flakes. I love to watch it snow at night. What's even better is watching it snow over the water.
Heathwood Inn Bar Harbor I had a fun time tonight at the annual Midnight Madness Sale in Downtown Bar Harbor. I was a good girl and passed by the 50% off candy sale at Ben & Bills. But I already feel my will power weakening. I may have to go back tomorrow. It's either that or maybe something sparkly from the Willis Rock Shop. Hmmmm. Maybe both!

Heathwood Inn Bar Harbor The combination of the rainstorm and astronomical high tide has raised the ocean level to the highest I've seen since I've been here. It's very cool to watch how the ocean changes. It's one of the wonderful things about living on an island.
Heathwood Inn Bar Harbor I had dinner with the friends I went clamming with the other day. We ate the clams and mussels we harvested. What a great meal! I love mussels, but they taste so much better when you harvest them yourself. And we had a stuffed clam appetizer made with the Quahog clam we found. Yummm!!
