This classic thriller is about Susy, a blind woman, who is stalked by criminals after her husband accepts a doll from a stranger. Unbeknownst to Susy or her absent husband, the doll is stuffed with heroin, and the thugs will stop at nothing to get the doll back. Wait Until Dark holds audiences in its grip till the fina...l hair-raising moments when Susy turns her greatest weakness, her blindness, into her greatest strength in outwitting the ruthless thugs.

This holiday season, Hershey Area Playhouse will present the modern classic, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Auditions for this show will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2009 and Monday, September 28 at 7:00 pm each evening at the theatre on the campus of Country Meadows in Hershey.

The director, Beth Dunham, is look...ing for children and adults of ALL ages to bring this heartwarming holiday tale to life. Auditioners should bring a recent photo/headshot and a theatrical resume (if available). Auditions will consist of readings from the script, and auditioners are strongly encouraged to have read the book prior to auditioning to become familiar with the characters. This story will require several strong elementary and middle school-aged children to play some of the central characters as well as a seasoned woman (stage age 30s - 40s) to play the role of the mother. Several men are also needed as well. Younger children are also encouraged to audition for the roles of the Sunday School kids.

The show will open on Thursday, December 3, 2009 and run through Sunday, December 13, 2009.
