Hi Ladies, Hollins '98 lady here.
The best thing I can tell you is that Hollins will be what you make of it. It's up to you.
Don't think boring language classes - think mastering French so you can go live in France for a semester your junior year. Don't think drab basic chemistry - think hands on research while at Hollins to become that research scientist you know you're meant to be. Finally, don't think watching movies isn't going to get you anywhere - think about your first feature film you'll be producing in your senior year. It's all there for you at Hollins if you choose to go after it.

I was an English major and my classes/ writing seminars averaged about 8-10 per class. Here's the new VAC for photography, there are a few darkrooms and lots of access to studio space. http://www.hollins.edu/undergrad/art/wet herill/wetherill.htm
