Here's a question that I hope seems simple...

I just had to flush and reload my WHS because backing up 3 clients (laptops) filled up the space designated for shares. I put in a larger single partition drive and loaded WHS again. I see that WHS automatically creates a second partition for shares.
Is that because I didn't... have a second physical drive connected? I haven't added users\shares because I want all of my data to live on the 2nd drive. Can I move this shares setup to the 2nd drive and trust that any further new shares will be automatically created there, or must I reload again with the 2nd drive connected?

TIA,
Alan

WHS creates both C: and D: on the first HD with a 20GB for C: then any drive added after is given to your D: pool. So everything is for the most part on your D: anyway. I have 500GB for C: and then 1TB for D: that was added after C: was formatted.

Windows Home Server One of the most useful new features is the Media Collector, which searches for and copies over media files across Macs and PCs.

Isn't this feature only available with the MediaSmart Servers not a home-built WHS.

Many of the products that you use everyday are faceless and may be hard to identify with. We thought it would be interesting to put a face behind Windows Home Server and give you a chance meet some of the people that work on Windows Home Server day in and day out...

There is a Tivo add-in. I haven't used it personally but the answer is yes unless they have made recent changes.
