Humane Society of Pulaski County
The HSPC is the only no-kill shelter in Pulaski County, Arkansas. Timothy, the dog shown above, was rescued from a puppy mill and had to have both eyes removed due to severe infections. His story reminds us - until there are none, adopt one.

I agree 100%--and they don't know the meaning of "sleeping late because it's vacation/holiday/weekend" either!

Heidi Buck

Heidi Buck I have 7 female puppies that I can't keep. They are from a stray dog whom I have been feeding. I intend to have her fixed next week so this will be her last litter. I am terrified to put them in the paper or Craigslist because I have heard horrible things that people do to "free to a good home" animals. May I bring them to you so they can be adopted?

Lu Lu Belle Is there a Winter T-shirt drive for the animals? For bedding materials or something useful? I could certainly collect t-shirts for your babies.

Wendy Franziska Seidl-Cole

Wendy Franziska Seidl-Cole I am so grateful that you are a no-kill shelter. I wish more would follow suit. Too many precious beautiful lives are ended in shelters. I truly wish that people would be responsible pet owners and have their dogs and cats spayed/neutered and also not treat animals as though they are accessories, they should be treated like family. Thank you for all your work, love, and dedication.

Cristy Ramsey Hutto

Cristy Ramsey Hutto I have a serious question. There is a horse in Van Buren County that has been found in a small pen in very bad condition. Who ever was taking care of this horse is not doing so now. Have not been able to find anyone to help with this animal. Can you offer any advise on who to contact or what to do. It is in a very remote location.

I just got this, sorry it just didn't come to me. Call the Sheriff's dept first. It's extremely important to document everything. If they need someone to "walk them through" the call I will be happy to.

Janice Will the Humane Society be open to the public the day after Thanksgiving? A sweet little blue tick hound mix is there (since this morning) that I'm already missing, (was a stray), and won't be able to see her till that weekend.....

Hi Toby. Did you have your dog checked by a vet? She might have hip dysplasia. Several years ago, I had a dog that had it and the vet gave him some medicine that helped tremendously.

she has cushings disease and she was already having some MS issues, I have been to the vet and we have some pain meds and an all-natural supplement that is supposed to help MS problems.
