Hypertherm

Today is door knock day. Right around 10 this morning, the producer's from ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition surprised a family who lives close to our New Hampshire headquarters. The Marshall Family learned they would receive a one-week vacation to Disney World while an army of volunteers came in to build them a new house. Hypertherm associates are excited to be among those volunteers, assisting with everything from general construction and electrical work to catering and traffic control. Hypertherm is fortunate to have a top notch hospital and children's hospital just minutes from our Hanover, New Hampshire headquarters. We are also fortunate to have had the opportunity to support an initiative to create a special unit inside the hospital's main Emergency Room. In the past, kids who needed emergency care were treated in rooms designed for grown-ups. Today, thanks to the support of local foundations and companies like Hypertherm, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (or CHaD as its known around here) was able to create a kid zone. Now, kids have their own special waiting room and three special treatment rooms with toys, TVs, and special kid-sized medical equipment to make what is often a traumatic situation a little better.

It was a fun two days in New Hampshire meeting with the Welding Instructors who make up our Educational Council. Thank you for all of your great insight and enthusiastic support of Hypertherm's new plasma cutting curriculum. We are so grateful to you for helping us create a curriculum that students and teachers will find informative and meaningful.
