IM$avvy Headlines: S’pore workers can expect 3% pay rise next year: survey http://bit.ly/1sSMwQ

MANY workers felt it was indeed refreshing and music to the ears on hearing that they would be getting a 3% increase next year. But anyone conclusively or convincingly add that it is sure in the pipeline or just wishing thinking.
How and when it would be implemented or should be given is anybody's guess. I do share the ... Read Moresentiments of the broad section of those involved and I understand those who are sceptical as to whether the increase would be obligingly given. Why many scoffed at it and their take of it is not unfounded.
First of all there is no compelling reason to oblige other than depending on how each company wishes to be viewed and perceived by the world at large from the PR point of view or for corporate image. And forthose companies who would cherish to do beyond the perfuntory role seeing as gracious, caring and magnanimous would feel to discharge and heartedly give.

Some companies would still refuse to toe the line in giving the increase as they felt that they are not out of the wood yet and unless the coast is clear they would be willing to oblige.
Also there is no tripartite agreement with some to do so
and if they empathised what the sting of the effect the
workers have had endured before AND SEEING FROM that angle they might give you the small pie of increase
