Did you hear about the Canadian music dude whose guitar was smashed by some over-zealous baggage handlers last summer? And the airline they work for that refused to pay for the $1,200 repair? And then ...

A T-shirt a day has kept unemployment at bay for an American man who is making about $85,000 a year by selling advertising space on his torso.

After losing my job, I survived NINE weeks on NO income WITHOUT going into debt or selling my stock in my old company while waiting for slow-ass WA unemployment to get approved. In my current financial situation I can last indefinitely on HALF my old income until either the benefits run out or I find a new job. I call that a win!

ING is not making very many friends with their refusal to allow their customers to use aggregation sites like mint.com. While it is nice they are trying to protect their customers' there comes a point where customer choice needs to be considered.

With ING's refusal to allow this service and the drop in interest rates ...in the last year, they are going to start loosing customers, and have a harder time gaining new ones.Read More

Michelle I'm so frustrated by ING's refusal to allow me to access my account information using Mint. For six and a half years I haven't had a bad thing to say about this bank; but today I am shopping around for another checking account to use for my day-to-day transactions.

Ed

Ed ING just lost me as an 8 year customer due to their poor business practices. Sorry ING! Been a long 8 years but, I'm off to American Express! They have a 1.7% APY to boot!

The documentary "Food Inc" discusses the economics of fast food production, and discusses why fast food tends to be cheaper than other forms of food. Think about that $1 value meal burger. It's hard to get a vegetable for that price. It really doesn't make sense that a hamburger would cost less than a cucumber until you realize that government ... Read Moresubsidies enable the fast food industry to sell at those prices. Because of this cost structure, poor people often will choose fast food over healthier forms of food (like vegetables). I'm not sure what an alternative world would look like, but it might be healthier.
