Hi Kelley. Thanks for saying that. Please don't feel any pressure at all. They created this and put all U.S. nonprofits there, and yes, we said what-the-hell and asked you guys to vote, but we totally appreciate these comments and please don't feel any pressure at all. We definitely won't push it.

the problem with social venture capitalists is they quit when the money doesn't come fast enough. probelems that have been generations simmering or boiling over for generations have no quick market fix. conventional entrepeneurs profit from problems not solutions. look for a business model that solves more problems than it creates...

One focused person will make 1000X more difference than all of the overwhelmed people in the world. Get off it and do something, anything!

Several folks have suggested surveys and additional groups so people can get together according to shared affinity, geography, etc. We're launching Idealist Groups in December. Stay tuned!

It's a war on apathy and indifference. People always told me I was the only person that thought this way... and my response was:

"Nah, there has to be a few in each country at least"

Melissa, I'm not sure about your region specifically. Have you signed up on the idealist.org/more site? If so, you'll be receiving periodic emails from us, including when we launch Idealist Groups. (You can also follow along at idealist.org/blog.) You could even start an Idealist Group or Community Point in your own backyard! -Julia

Ditto to Fernando's comment--you may want to contact the American Translator's Association (or similar organizations in other countries) about getting professional translations of the site. Many professional translators may be willing to donate their services for the cause.
