They need to have more ppl join this group, hopefully some who text and drive and they can see it from the other side. I'll give them a lecture. I have a point to make. I'd rather like to stand by someone flagging and if there's a motorist talking on the cell, while going thru the zone, I'd snatch their phone and when they were done listening to my points and lectures, I just MIGHT give it back. (Might back up traffic though! Just trying to help on a subject I feel very strongly about.)

And watch out for the IDOT workers if they are out. They have families that would like 2010 to come for them too. Put the cells down and try putting both hands on the wheel !

I worry about those things...my fiancee of many years works for IDOT and I always kiss him as he leaves for work and when he gets home....you never know. IDOT doesn't get the appreciation nor the recognition they deserve. They don't just drive around all day.

Kurt works for IDOT and ppl need to be aware of what to watch out for...just because you see them does not mean they see you...and don't text on the phone while driving. The one you may hit just may be someone's loved one.
