IDOT Secretary Gary Hannig announces 105 high schools have been selected to participate in the 2009-2010 Operation Teen Safe Driving (OTSD) program. These schools will develop and implement peer-to-peer based initiatives in their communities. Now in its third year, OTSD continues to aim to reduce the number of teen fat...alities in Illinois. 2008 was the safest year for travel in Illinois since 1923. Fatalities dropped to 1,043 - the lowest number in 85 years. Still, far too many people are being killed on our roadways.
