Innovate AZ The next big thing...

For most, Twitter has largely lacked anything resembling a group or fan page. That all changed with the creation of Twitter Lists, kind of.

How many lists are you on?

Innovate AZ Video is the final frontier for many politicos and small businesses in social media. People will watch 2 minutes of anything compared to reading 15 seconds of something important. Accordingly, it's important to get it right. Do you use YouTube? If so, do you have a “brand”?

I became the 22nd person to take the oath of office as Governor of Arizona on January 21, 2009. I am Arizona’s fifth Secretary of State to succeed to Governor in mid-term. I have lived in Arizona for 39 years, and spent the past 27 of them serving the people and upholding the public trust. Prior to my succession to Go...vernor, I served as Arizona Secretary of State, as Maricopa County Supervisor, and as a member of both houses of the Arizona Legislature, where I rose to leadership of the State Senate. I was elected Arizona Secretary of State in 2002 and was re-elected to a second term in 2006. Since then, I have worked actively, even-handedly and without partisan rancor to inspire public confidence in the state’s political processes. I am married to Dr. John Brewer and am mother of three sons, one of whom passed away in 2007. I have lived in Arizona since 1970.Read More

It's how I found my new business partner. Made friends on Twitter, found connections, did work together, now partners. It takes time, though, to build and maintain relationships...just like the real world. Like anything, don't expect great things, just enjoy the ride & be yourself. Trying too hard to be something or to please everyone pleases no one.

Innovate AZ It's hard to miss the chorus of voices singing out on Net Neutrality, although, they are, more often than not, discordant... Rep. Marsha Blackburn added a new dimension to the song when she said the music industry should be opposed to Net Neutrality because it violates the Fairness Doctrine. What do you think? Will Net Neutrality bring government control of free speech or protect it?

Q: How much will increased federal spending help offset cuts our state has made to certain areas (such as schools, which receive both state and federal funds), and will temporary federal spending negatively impact Arizona's future ability to maintain any particular programs?
October 17 at 10:20am
Donna Hussein Gratehouse
Donna Hussein Gratehouse
Tara, here's a website from the Governor's office on Arizona's share on the stimulus http://az.gov/recovery/azpreliminaryallocations.html

As for how it's used to offset cuts, it's a complicated question because a lot of the funding is tied to states maintaining certain spending levels. It shouldn't impact future state programs since it's temporary in nature but don't put anything past this legislature.
