We are thankful for the work of Integrity USA, Susan Russell and David Norgard. We are thankful for the Episcopal Church being open to LGBT people and making the advances they made at the General Convention this year. We are thankful to be living in this time. Mostly, we are thankful for Jesus Christ and His message of inclusion for all people.

The Ugandan Episcopal Church Officials know they damn well better keep their mouth's shutl lest they find themselves incarcerated also, or worse! what a heart rendering situation. And to think there are American Dioceses who either have or are considering going under the Authority of an African Bishop. God help them: God help us all----

Can't believe the Americans don't know or care that the Ugandans can have sex with any female they want to, and mutilate them also. No prison for these guys.

Elizabeth. I hear your concern. I'm currently in grad school working on counseling degree and want to be able to embrace all who approach me - the transgender "topic" was not discussed in our "diversity" class, but shoved under the rug of "gay issues" we could research independently. I think, put simply, people may see both genders and are afraid ... See Moreof which to "relate" to for fear of hurting someone. Also, there are so many "myths" out there about TG's. This is a completely new and unexplored territory for most (unfortunately exploited on shock - talk shows) and much work needs to be done to educate for tolerance, acceptance, and awareness.
