Matthew Pirante-Perez Hi Jane! Any updates on that new book you're working on?

I'm
a documentarian, writer and director. I've partnered with Generation
Five a non-profit working to end child sexual abuse. I've heard you
speak on this issue. I'm driven to create dialogue, awareness and
eventually partner with people of like minds to end child sexual abuse.
I'm looking for support to promote
ending this e...pidemic. For most people this is a topic not to be
discussed. I'm interested in partnering with you. The statistics are startling; "Research conducted with large samples of adults estimates 30-45% of women (1 in2-3) and 13-16% of men ( 1 in 6) reported an experience of sexual abusebefore their 18th birthday." Over 300,000 children are sexually abusedeach year in the U.S." ~ Gen Respectfully,Tracey Quezada

One suggestion: I've recently come upon a DVD copy of the Jason Robards / Mildred Natwick version of "A House without a Christmas Tree" - its a great story, ...and its ripe for a re-make - with you in the Millie Natwick role, and your son Troy in the Jason Robards role - please please please do it!Read More

I always wanted to ask CAT STEVENS if he really did back and support Khomeini's Fatwa and call for 'Death' against Salmon Rushdie for writing the SATANIC VERSES. I always loved and admired Cat Steven's music so, and that whole incident back in 1989 has cast an irrevocable dark shadow on the man ever since. I would ask him to clarify that, and if so, why and have his views changed. I still listen to his music, anyday, but with that pallor still looms large.

I agree, the long term goal has to be to end the political football that abortion and reproductive choice has become. Ultimately we need a constitutional amendment guaranteeing reproductive freedom.

The very concept of women being independent, self-autonomous beings is a very recent phenomenon and with the first generation born and raised where women where not property or subjugated beings to a man coming of age and into power the opportunity exists to change this debate and law for good.

The bill threatened to derail and, tragically, this was a compromise, ugly and unsettling as it is, that allowed it to pass. Had it failed a second chance would not have been likely.... Read More

The key is to keep the battle active.

We must keep the voices of freedom of choice loud, engaged and personalize the story as much as possible to help win over the hearts and minds of the undecided or unengaged.
