Jenny Floravita Painted Chandeliers & Art Just had to share that I LOVE what I do and I feel so grateful at this moment that I have the gift to create. Even though I must wear many hats as an artist, painting brings such fulfillment to my life! Thank you to all of my friends and collectors who have encouraged me through out my long journey. Without you some of you, I wouldn't be where I am today!

Jenny Floravita Painted Chandeliers & Art This is a bottom detail of a painted chandelier where the couple requested that I paint many of the tropical flowers that I am known for. It also had to match a second chandelier that they had purchased prior to this piece.

Jenny Floravita Painted Chandeliers & Art I'd like to add that if any of you have more interesting names for any of these pieces, I'm open to hearing them! Naming my works is often a challenge. As for the photos of these little mini illuminated paintings, those of you who have seen my chandeliers in person will know how good these are in person.

Jenny Floravita Painted Chandeliers & Art My first series of floral based night lights are at Barbie Koncher's Studio show today, Friday and Saturday. These pieces turned out really nice and my guess is that they will sell at the show this weekend and I will be painting and creating more soon. The night lights are a little hard to phtograph so I'm only going to release a few images right now. The photos do not do any of these works justice.

Here is the work that I was able to complete on my newest painting
yesterday. The area to the left that doesn't look quite clean is all
masked, at various levels.
Today I should be able to work my final areas behind the masking so
that I can pull it all off. The red heliconia to the far left is to tie
the contrasting reds a...nd pinks across the painting. The actual sky
color is a bit more colbalt and less cerelean than is shown. Both
colors are nice, just different.Read More

This is my newest watercolor painting in progress. You can see that I've already developed my color palate, based on the vibrant colors of the ti leaves, which are backlit by the afternoon sun.
When I paint in watercolor, my technique usually involves masking in between the different layers of paint. In this case, Maski...ng takes place between the different fan palm leaves. My next steps today will be to paint more background leaves in cool violets and greens, masking and perhaps even a sky, if I get that far...Read More
