I hope this works! We had to call up the snow removal hotline twice last year because they completely bypassed our street and it stayed that way for 2 days!

I think they tryed this afew years ago and it ended up costing more then if the city did it. If this will work this time go for it but I just wonder how much money this will cost. Time will tell. Hoping we don't have any snow this winter. lol...

I'm glad to hear that the the city is moving forward on sustainability. I'm confident that increased use of biofuels will be a part of the city's energy plan.

Mayor Suttle, thanks for putting together an honest and responsible budget. We simply cannot resolve our budgetary problems on the backs of city workers.

I have a dumb question... why is it when someone buys a home, their assessed value cannot be immediately set to that purchase amount? I've slowly watched my assessed value rise over the years, and I'm not complaining... yet I see many other folks in other neighborhoods, who have bought their home at X dollars... and yet their assessed value has ... Read Moreremained substantially lower than even what they paid. In some cases, the homes are much newer/large than my own, and their 'frozen in time' property values are now no higher than my own. There seems to be a lack of parity among these valuations... and not just across county lines. Anyway... just a suggestion... get everyone up to what their property value should be (and it seems to me... it would be hard to argue with an assessment matching what you actually paid!)... and I would guess a significant portion of our revenue problems might be solved.

I'm happy you put this on I missed it sunday. There still are alot of questions to be asked yet but all in all was a good meeting. Want to see more of them. Suttle should be able to state what he knows and how he got there. But yet again. Talk about his SUV and his staff. Show us all the budget.

Whats it going to take to convince people, you inherited this mess and have to fix it. We needed a new ball park like a hole in the head as well as other things. Priorities in this city have taken the back burner.
