Joe Decker Finishing up the White Sands part of the trip, missed sunrise today on the count of the roads being closed everywhere in the area! That's why I always plan several days when I can for winter locations. *grin* Anyway, off to Bosque del Apache NWR today, to give the 7D and my 500/4L a well-deserved workout.
Desert Armada, White Sands National Monument An unusual image for me, but I quite like it. ISO 100, f/14, 1/25th, Canon EF 24-70L/2.8 @57mm, circular polarizer. I used aperture priority with +1 stop EC to get that exposure time...

Joe Decker Back from the Eastern Sierra, Denise and I had a fabulous time. The last few days have been busy--a jurying gig on Wednesday, then I gave a talk on the Arctic on Friday. Time to get another article up on P'crati, and next week a newspaper is sending out a photographer to photograph me, which is ... well, wait for it. :)
