Amen. I've been there. It was a sombering and enlightening experience. Certainly made me thankful for our Armed Services and the things they do to keep us safe!

I was stationed with the 24th infantry division back in 1986. One of the things everyone in the division was instucted to do when saluting an officer was say "First to fight!" This was to remeber that the 24th was the first Army division to engage the Japanese when they ran out of their barracks at Pearl Harbour and began firing their rifles at ... Read Morethe planes over head. For me all of Pearl is a memorial but I wish I could go and see schofield barracks - the bullet holes are still ill the wall from the planes shooting at them

Read MoreOf Thinking Big, you say 'back up your wife or your friend whether they are right or wrong'.The wife of my colleague at the time and fellow church goer bore false witness against me to get rid of me, and all the church backed her up even when she was in the wrong.I lost my position, my church,and much more, all because they all believed in what I believe is a 'southern code of ethicss, cognitive distortion/thinking error/false belief' evolutionarily inherited generationally in the' tradition of men', and passed down especially in the religious community. She knew that they would back her up right or wrong. I also believe that the principle 'two wrongs don't make a right' also applies logically here, and that I was doubly wronged by that fallacious belief. I just read another quote of yours today"If you're lying,you're lying".I believe one of the highest principles of leadership is 'do no harm'.I had a pastoral spiritual advisor at the time that agreed with me and did not agree with that illogical logic either.The entire church believed win-lose, and the end justifies the means, all cognitive distortions/thinking errors/faulty beliefs,among many others.I had the courage to stand up with a clear conscience and speak the truth, but I was scapegoated by the church, a veritable human rights violation and torturous psychological evil practiced even today with devastating consequences in 'the tradition of men'.I was in 'pastoral counseling' for years and years for being the victim of ministerial malpractice.
