Del 'Deuceman' Fabriz ,,, my co-worker Melissa and I work at a gas station, and we have mock weekend "radio" shows, called "The Del and Melissa Show" (pretty creative, eh?) and we find Intelligence for your life to be absolutley captivating. Dear Mr. Tesh,
I want to thank you for choosing me as a winner for your Word of the Day contest. I don't think you realize how much fun this contest has been, not only for me, but for the others who have been blessed by it too!
For the $100 gift card, I choose to use it on the Sojourner Center, which is a shelter here i...n Arizona for domestically-abused women. Many times, these women (along with their children) have to flee from a very dangerous, abusive situation with nothing more than the clothes on their back...
I contacted an Administrator from the Sojourner center and asked them what they needed and when they found out that I had a $100 dollars to buy items for their organization, they were delighted! Due to state budget cuts, their organization has been in desperate need of any source of help they can get -- and your kind gift only continues to bring smiles to those who really need it!
The center gave me a list of high-priority items and here is what I was able to buy for them with the gift card:
- 6 Cotton blankets
- 2 Sets of bedsheets
- 2 Boxes of baby diapers
Needless to say, they were very grateful for your kindness!
P.S. - Love your radio program, and especially your book, "Intelligence for Your Life." It's a real winner...
