The Chameleon Club is a documentary film by Allen Clements produced at Postage, Inc. Studios. The film will be available in stores and online in March of 2012. This feature-length documentary follows the establishment of the venue in 1985 in a small tent covered area called Tom Paines back room. We then explore and d...ocument over 20 successful years of this live music venue in a small town in Central Pennsylvania… Lancaster. The story is told by owners, staff and musicians who invested their life in a true passion for music. Throughout the film, we hear from and about several bands whose careers were made in part by having a place to play and grow in talent and resolve. These interviews include Mike Bitts of The Innocence Mission, Chad Taylor of LIVE and JB Burkholder of August Burns Red. The viewer will hear about political and social hurdles and growing pains, but in the end the great reward that lies in providing a home for the passionate musicians and fans as well as an attraction for miles around as part of the Northeast US touring circuit. Throughout the documentary is a soundtrack which includes tracks from home grown record labels CI Records and Lizard Records as well as independent contributions from Movies with Heroes, Dutchland Diesel, Burning Bus, DJ Image and many more. The Chameleon Club is a film which will appeal to music lovers from every part of the world and every genre. It will especially appeal to those who have played or attended a show at the venue. It begs the question, could a music lover with a few dollars and a true love for music accomplish such a feat if that person were to try today.
