Kindred magazine Kali and the Kindred Staff would like to thank all of the subscribers who are taking time to express their congratulations and well wishes for the quantum leap into web based media. We equally appreciate feedback from our passionate subscribers who are disappointed about not being able to read future issues at the park, in the bathtub or from their pillow before they fall into a well deserved good nights sleep.

Laurie A Couture

Laurie A Couture I am having a hard time believing there will be no magazine to take with me- I do my reading when my son and I go places- I don't like reading at the computer. However, I understand the need for sustainable practice.

Stephen Franson

Stephen Franson Have been meaning to look you up after seeing your ads in the Pathways Mags. Great site, great work. We have a huge family wellness practice in the states and will begin to promote your mag. Thank you for your great work!

Annmarie Bachmann

Annmarie Bachmann Really unimpressed by the formulaic response email, I understand that Kali cannot respond to everyone, but find it presumptuous when I said that I will no longer be following kindred to receive an email, thanking me for my continued support.

Perhaps you need two formulaic responses going on about the importance of everyone's voices....at least that way you could give a better impression of listening.

Monika

Monika Just wanted to share how I came across Kindred Magazine... We were travelling up the coast of Australia with our 6 mo old daughter in 2007 in one of those "Wicked Campers" which had no 4th or reverse gear (Ok, we broke it when we forgot which way to shift with the wrong hand), when we stopped at a touristy newsstand in Byron Bay and I happened to spot a headline stating "Nappy Free Baby".
We had been doing the diaper free thing since birth, and other than the book I picked up in alternative bookshop hadnt seen ANYTHING in print mentioning it, despite having read an overwhelming amount of natural parenting/childbirth books at home in Canada. I bought both issues of Kindred that were present, and had great camping conversation for weeks based on the articles. Didnt stop thinking about the magazine and what I could be missing, and finally got a subscription less than a year ago thanks to the inlaws. I have never enjoyed a magazine this much. Looking fwd to the website :) Thanks

Kindred magazine
Karen

Karen I am dissapointed there will be no magazine. With three children, a husband, friends, social groups and a part time job, I don't get on the computer much, let alone set up to read an online magazine when I have a ten minute sit down with a cup of tea. What this will mean for me is that I won't have Kindred to read anymore. A shame, as I really enjoyed it, and it sometimes took me three months to read all the way through, and often I referred articles and info to friends who didn't recieve Kindred - spreading the word...

Kindred magazine

Kindred magazine Beloved Kindred fans. I'm so blown away by the outpouring of appreciation and support that I have been receiving since our heartfelt announcement. It has been a very difficult decision to move from print to web (especially for me, I'm a tactile person and a little old fashioned. I used to love to smell each new edition of Kindred when it came fresh from the printers), but for sure the right one.

Michelle Adamson

Michelle Adamson As a loyal subscriber i just wanted to let you know that i support your new internet endeavour 100%. I received your letter today about the change from paper based magazines to internet based access and i couldn't be happier. Kali, i could feel your passion and commitment to this new project literally jumping off the page, and i find it totally infectious. I admire the foresight and courage this decision shows. I cringe everyday i see the letterboxes on our street filled to the brim with flyers and catalogues and brouchures - most of which will get thrown straight in the bin without ever being read! Hopefully it is only a matter of time before all responsible and eco-conscious companies follow suit and make the change from paper to internet based advertising.
I can't thank you enough for exposing me to different ways of thinking on a range of different topics. "When you know better, you do better" and this is what Kindred does for me. I await your new website with baited breath.

Lilian Homer

Lilian Homer Hi Kali, will be sorry to loose the hard copy of Kindred as my 'Extra Lesson' families really enjoy reading it as I work with their children. I understand the reasons...just being selfish :) Many thanks for a wonderful informative magazine which covers so many aspects of children's and families' lives. All the best for the web venture!

Cheers, Lilian
