Grab your children by the hand. It's time to explore our world throughout history. Let's pick up our trek where we left off and explore the Medieval time period.
Anne

Anne This medieval map trek fills such a void. My father had done all the coursework toward a doctorate but for defending his dissertation and I have all his "stuff" -- his original research, his old but good books (this was in the 1950s) but out of all the stuff I have, KQ is above and beyond my FAVORITE resource. I don't have to purchase stuff for all age levels.... THANK YOU!!

Good! While I have not and am not going to get the H1N1 shots....if someone is in the target group, and has been adequately informed of the risks and benefits.....going and getting the shot should not be denied them merely on the basis that they homeschool....Although that would make an interesting precedent for those homeschoolers who are worried about being forced to take this shot....

I would be surprised they would want it. Homeschoolers are usually very informed people and there is alot of evidence out there about how dangerous this vaccine is.

I think everyone needs to see this. I'm sick and tired of the whole "happy holidays" thing. Go Fish explains it much better than I ever could. This is more for the song, as I have provided the lyrics in the video. Enjoy.:D

Our family yet has much to learn and investigate in the Scriptures. I want to rely on God's Word as our guide rather than traditions -- even if they are "church" traditions. The other thing that I have been thinking about is how many unbelievers celebrate Christmas and Easter -- with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny anyone can join in the celebration and easily leave Jesus out. I must say I have never heard of an unbeliever celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles.

Another word which refers to the Appointed Times is translated 'convocation' in the KJV, the Hebrew is:

4744 miqra' mik-raw' from 7121; something called out, i.e. a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal:--assembly, calling, convocation, reading. see HEBREW for 07121

Sukkot or Tabernacles is also a rehearsal for the Messianic Kingdom. Eight days of study, fellowship, food, fun. It is *the* looked for event of the year by all the children in our family.

Knowledge Quest, Inc. To quote Heidi St. John: "Education, at it's core, is discipleship. The real role of a teacher is to disciple, or mentor a student. But what does that mean? It means that teachers play a huge part in shaping the hearts and minds of their students." Cheers to all of the teachers out there who use their leadership role to shape true and Godly character in children - especially parents!

Why label them before they have a chance to explore for themselves. Besides, who's to say what the accuracy of such test are anyway.

I like science fiction movies. The one that takes this genetic profiling to the logical extreme is Gattaca. It is also one of the scariest movies I know of (even though it is just drama), because I could see the world going the way of people being defined by their genetic testing. Our genes are only the framework for our bodies and not the ... Read Moredefinition of who we are.

Another science fiction movie that is very scary to me even though it is not intended to be scary is "Harrison Bergeron." This movie is fairly relevant to homeschoolers. You can look either of these movies up on Wikipedia
