Currently, only 3 to 5 percent of adult cancer patients participate in clinical trials. The leading reason for the low participation is barriers that hinder access to clinical trials.

Let's keep clinical trials!!! Without them I and many of my new friends would not be here to share our stories. Please keep the experimental choices open and educate the public and patients of all that is entailed. Make it our decisions to go experimental which may just save lives.

I am on a clinical trial for enzastaurin by Ely Lily.. I was stage 4 NHL Diffuse Large B Cell.. I was diagnosed in Sept 2007 and went through 6 rounds of RCHOP and started with the study at my 1 month follow up after my last chemo Treatment, so far I am cancer free it is almost 2 years. I drive 4 1/2 hours to see my oncologist every 3months... it ... Read Moreis worth the drive. I highly recommend getting out of the local small towns and going to a cancer treatment center where studies are available. I can not say enough about the care I received at MD Anderson in Orlando, FL. The way I look at it what do you really have to lose, I was stage 4, i want to do what ever I can to keep the cancer gone and if it comes back at least me being on the study may help find a cure for someelse, then I am willing to do it !

I agree about the show. I think it really puts a great spin in the way the show is going. Although I don't like to see Kitty get cancer, I like the fact that they are using it in their story line. It shows more people that it can happen to them too!

Kerry I know what you mean... it seems so many other forms of cancer get the highlight... no one knows much about Leukemias and Lymphomas... I wish it got the attention that other forms of cancer do!
