The Boston Fire Department Honor Guard accompanied by a number of Boston Fire Fighters were invited to participate in the Opening Ceremonies of the NHL 2010 New Years Day Winter Classic at Historic Fenway Park.
Members of Local 718 volunteered their time and were on the field for the pre-game ceremony.
La...ter, Captain Jim Welsh, R-1 and Lt. Bob Dean,TL-3 joined with Denis Leary and Lennie Clarke on stage for the signing of Sweet Caroline.
Before the game, members were also allowed to walk around the field and met with Boston Bruins coach Claude Julian, Bobby Orr, Jim Craig and members of the DropKick Murphy's.

Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 IAFF three firefighters were injured this morning while fighting a 2 Alarm fire inside a condo under construction in Jamaica Plain. One member assigned to Ladder 23 was injured when he fell 10 feet through a hole in the floor, landing on his face one floor below. Doctors said he sustained a broken collarbone and facial injuries.

A Boston firefighter was injured this morning while fighting a fire inside a condo under construction in Jamaica Plain when he fell through a hole in the floor, landing on his face one floor below, a fire official said.
