This series of shots show the last second of the game in which Bert Jones threw a touchdown pass to Brad Davis to tie up the game. The Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890, required all students attending land-grant colleges, such as LSU, to receive military training. Because of this LSU teemed with military routine and ritual.

Cadets (students) wore uniforms and marched in formation. Here they are pictured in front of the original Louisiana State Capitol building.
