Being very haole (live in New England) but loving ki ho alu, mele, and more for a couple years now, I was beyond thrilled to have a chance to see Uncle Led at one of those Sunday evening pub dates. Couldn't figure out why the place was not mobbed! Despite David O's remark about how much mid-level (and worse) music runs in Hawaii, my feeling is, ... See Moreoverall, the quality of Hawaiian musicianship is at least on par with New Orleans' music folks. Maybe that's why on that Sunday the place wasn't filled up with folks starving for good music - no lack in Hawaii! You can get it easy!
Thanks you Uncle Led for helping to bring us long-lost cousins back! Mahalo nui!

My nephew Tony is one of the Positive Connections volunteers, teaching elementary school kids... basic athletics and healthy lifestyles. They could really use this grant for equipment. MAHALO!

Lani, I'm back at Kona Brewing every Sunday from 6 to 8 officially, but sometimes we start early and play late. Tonight was the first night back. So nice to have the Keli`iho`omalu family there plus Ivan Ho`opi`i and Ramon Camarillo, Jesse Gregorio on bass, my sister Lei, Tommy Goodloe with some old time rock & roll, and all the Led Heads.

Mahalo, today I am feeling way better, because my two daughters are here. the interesting thing was 2 days ago I felt "wiped out" and then I started singing along with the Hawaiian music that was playing on the radio, and from that point I knew that I was going to get better...

Led Kaapana Led Heads jammed the voting machine at HARA! Lots of attempted votes were bounced. They think they've fixed it. Everyone in a household is entitled to vote IF they have their own email address. If HARA gets 80 bazillion hotmail/gmail etc. votes from one IP address, they'll void them all. But if you tried and were bounc...ed, try again! Jus' Press! And tell your friends!
