The Leland Tribune For those of you who own pets and live in Wilmington or northern Brunswick County: New Hanover Animal Control and the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association from UNCW are doing a free rabies clinic this Sat, Oct 31 from 1-3pm at the River Road Park on Highway 133 in Belville. Dogs, cats and ferrets are welcome.

The Leland Tribune There will be a pancake breakfast this Saturday, October 31 from 7-9 am at the Andys beside Food Lion on Mt. Misery Road in Leland. The cost is $5 a plate (includes 3 pancakes, bacon and choice of beverage). The proceeds go to Danny and Regina White to help with medical expenses (Danny is battling cancer).

BOLIVIA, N.C. -- Frank Bullara, owner of Bugsy's Cigars, filed as a candidate for Mayor of Leland today. Mike Leggett and Roy Lettieri filed for the Leland Town Council, joining Skip Wittkofksky and Martha Currie as candidates. Mayor Walter Futch has not yet filed for re-election.
