Congratulations to Ron Paul! His amendment to audit the Fed was just passed, kicking out he evil Mel Watts version, in the financial services committee. Still to come, the vote on the whole bill, and much can happen, but this is great news. Bernanke and friends must be crying in their beer.

The amendment has 180 day delay and doesn't imapct anything the Fed currently does.

Lew Rockwell The PC smear campaign against Tom Woods, Charles Goyette, and Thomas Naylor.

Mary Schroeder

Mary Schroeder All American citizens need to stop being PC which is another way of saying 'political cowardness.' We need to stand up for what is right and good in our great country and stop allowing our federal and state government to take away our individual rights. And it is no surprise to me that they have been doing it for decades.

The world has an impression of the United States as a free-wheeling, hard-drinking country where few things are regulated. The world should wake up to the reality that the US is governed by a totalitarian bureaucracy that claims to manage every aspect of our lives, which means of course managing the...

Lew Rockwell Against the Armies of Multiculturalism and 'Social Justice'

Source: www.lewrockwell.com
In a previous column of mine on LewRockwell.com, I announced a two-front war against the university radicals. That one was an attempt to achieve real justice at Loyola University in Maryland, against Fr. Linnane, SJ, President of that university. The vehicle was a letter to Fr. Linnane’s SJ, superio...

So waht if he was a racialist or even a nutzi. Used to be colleges were places of Higer Education that challenged ones thoughts and made one find out the hard way where they stood on a particular issue. Back in the 60's Brown University invited George Lincoln Rockwell of the American Nazi Party to speak. Granted, many of the students and faculty ... Read Morewere in a uproar over it, but nowadays they'd never be allowed and students would never have to question themselves on where they stood on an issue. Students ought to choose for themselves, not let a over burdensome college "Diversity Task Force" decide what political and or cultural idea they can listen to on campus and those they should not be able to. I say open the doors wide. Let Dr. David Duke come and lecture, let Noam Chomsky come and lecture etc etc. If we grant one, let's have someone from the other side shortly after to challenege such, hell let's get them there together! But to condemn without even having heard anything is LAME!

Lew Rockwell What Obama Needs

Source: www.lewrockwell.com
As the unemployment rate crossed the double digit barrier for the first time since Michael Jackson learned to moonwalk, President Obama announced that he will convene a jobs summit to finally bring the problem under control. ...

Do you notice how the media always reports on how many jobs the government has "created," but increased unemployment is blamed on businesses shedding jobs? How convenient!

We'll have a legitimately independent media when I read the headline, "Uncle Sam destroyed 300,000 jobs last month."

I'm not holding my breath.

Well gee, thank goodness Obama is now on the case. Too bad he didn't think about this before, like when they passed the 'Stimulus" package that was supposed to do just that months ago.

Lew Rockwell Ralph Raico on the Ayn Rand he knew.

Source: www.lewrockwell.com
In a recent article on LRC, the author ascribes to Ayn Rand an epithet directed at Ludwig von Mises: "bastard." If anyone should take this as her basic attitude to Mises, it would be a very serious mistake.

Murphy's writings are always worth reading, but I was surprised at the seriousness of it. Murphy is normally poking holes at his ideological opponents through sarcasm and wit. This is more philosophical than his normal stuff. A nice change of pace.
