  • I truly wonder if Steve Jobs has any regret?

Does the past 7 painful years made him a happier human being?

Life isn't just about achievement. It's about happiness! Are you happy in your life?

      • Cath McManus Hi Terence - I don't think I could honestly say I'm completely happy yet - but I'm improving. :) I did read that Steve Jobs had a happy personal life and if that's true, he probably didn't have any regrets. But as you say, he spent all of his fifties battling cancer - nobody wants to get ill and die that young.

      • Terence Chang The reality is that all his billion $ asset still can't cure the illness.

I have my priority Health -> Happiness -> Wealth

      • Cath McManus That is so true Terence. No amount of money can fix our health. But would he hadn't worked so hard? I guess we'll never know. As much as I try to understand life, it still confuses me.

      • Cath McManus Sorry meant - would he have still got ill if he hadn't worked so hard, or would it have made no difference?

      • Terence Chang Imagine the stress he got on his shoulder. For every check or contract he signed, it's probably $100M deals and thousands people rely on it to make living.

I wonder if he is simply a slave of his own achievement or a slave of everyone's expectation.

Obviously, he did not take care of himself.

Do I want to be someone like him as inspirational icon? I don't know either. :)

I guess it depends if he felt stressed Terence. :) Pancreatic cancer can be inherited, so it's hard to say if it's down to his lifestyle. It is so hard to detect in the early stages and it's one of the most difficult cancers to treat.

I kn...ow so many peeps who have taken good care of themselves, yet died so young. I guess death is the one thing we can't beat.

Like you, I'm curious to know if Steve Jobs was truly happy. When you read his speeches and stuff it sounds like he was, and he was so passionate about his work. His quotes inspire me to try to live the life I want. :)
