I took my 2 boys 10 yrs and 14yrs (they wanted to go) to the Museum and we were just in awe of all of the history that it holds. As we walked through, it was just amazing how much the Lincoln family went through during the War and how President Lincoln was able to accomplish what he did durring a horrible time. He tr...uly was a great man. I have been reading about the Civil War for many years but this place puts it in such a perspective that I can't even put it into words. It is a must see for everyone.Read More

Andrew Werling I visited the museum in June 2008. Even though I was initially disappointed that I arrived at the museum during a time that the Gettysburg Address was in storage, I understood the reasons (document preservation) and was (and am) grateful for it. The visit itself was an experience that marked me in a very deep way, and gives me energy for my academic studies in history.
