Windows 7 is great news for Linux. It puts focus back on Operating Systems. Windows 7 is just a paid for service pack for Vista, the caveat being it requires complete removal.....

windows 7, tried it. crashed all my partitions. reinstalled everything, with only Linux Mint this time. My uncle BOUGHT windows 7 (not i) and he gets BSOD's out of the box, not to mention no support for the fancy Wifi N mini adapter. would be a sweet wireless card, if windows 7 recognises the driver.... POS OS, more like Disfunctional System rather than an Operating System. it doesn't operate much of anything LOL. good news for GNU / Linux users out here.

A final update: In just 48 hours we reduced the number of threads with no replies by 52%! That's a great effort and we really appreciate the dedication. We're now soliciting feedback on whether we should turn this success into a regular occurrence. http://bit.ly/SyVBy
