Not a Mets fan, but to me they're doing a terrible job this off-season. The theme of them pursuing big time free-agents (Bay, and now Holliday apparently) in order to compensate for a thin lineup and a sub-par pitching staff continues. Why can't the Mets have decided to turn to cheaper, but quality players to fill in several positions? They could'... See Moreve solved alot of problems by signing guys like Figgins, De-Rosa, Molina, Byrd to solidify their infield AND outfield. Their pitching staff is a different story, but signing guys like that would indicate at least a productive step in the right direction
