The unfortunate thing is that the awards are based on the regular season-103 wins should have been enough for Girardi to win the award-but when a manager of a "snake-bit" team get's as far as they did the writer sentimentality prevails.

Interesting how the Fall Classic was played in October and now media (FOX) dictates what MLB does in October, especially not to interfere with their precious Sunday NFL coverage. Selig needs to fix this and stop using logisitics as an excuse.
