I just re-watched the first 2 episodes of the first season. I had forgotten that the reason Bets had gone to psychiatrist was that she was having unexplained numbness in her hands. There was a scene in a restaurant restroom where she couldn't clutch her lipstick, so Mona helped her apply it. It's just a funny remind...er hearing her say "I can't seem to hold onto anything."
