      • Troy Schmechel I bought the maestro this year, but didn't come with the 2010 Spring maps... Wish that I could be grandfathered in to receiveing that.

      • Dan Black Thats what annoys me with these systems, you are not given any updates for free when you buy and you dont know what is loaded on them until you buy and travel using it.

      • Rob Harris How about doing an "update" for the 1470 and then getting it "bricked", sending it in, and getting a refurbished one back in the mail? Wheres our free update???

      • Mike Patrick Wow. I'm glad I joined this group. I was actually thinking about buying one of these this weekend and just came in to check out the customer feedback.

      • Brannon Gravitt How about an update for the crossover. Good unit but the topo and water nav is lacking. Oh, I forgot this unit has been discontinued. Well how about I send it back to your "CUSTOMER NO SERVICE" department and have them send me something more up to date. To be as such a largely known company in the GPS world, you'd think that Magellan would have some kick ass stuff.

      • Jennifer D. Atkinson ‎@Mike- Customer service is abysmal. I tried to call this morning and get someone to talk to about a repair and since I couldn't find the option "to speak with an operator or someone actually breathing," the system hung up on me three times. I'm just trying to find out about a repair.

      • Sue Ide Naegels I have used customer service and found them to be very good. So far - maybe I won't have such a good experience if I need them again.

‎@Mike - if you want my 2 cents worth - run, not walk, and buy something else. I've wished for over a year now I'd bought a Nuvi :(

BTW - Jennifer has it right. Customer service is truly abysmal. Why does it take a week to get an overnig...ht-shipped product? Why don't they actually fix their software bugs. Why can't we get up-to-date maps.

Bought Maestro 4350 Feb 2009, 4th unit, also they tried to "upgrade" me to 4700 - lousy screen and less features. Am currently evaluating 4250 (downgrade) but maybe it will actually work.
