Here's an interesting excerpt from an article in the Harvard Business Review, entitled "Positive Intelligence." Studies show that for people who work with a positive mindset, engagement, performance, and creativity is higher. I would also add that communication is more effective in all areas, as well. Most people believe that success is what brings happiness, and, it fact, it works the other way around. The kind of happiness that comes from success is temporary and fleeting. People who cultivate a positive mindset function better overall and in the face of challenge.
