The first play reading of 4 Plays About Wollongong proved to be a fascinating insight into the development process. The Illawarra Mercury and several Merrigong Whole Shebang subscribers listened as the four actors read through the play for the first time. Poor Jack is worried when he and Tashi find themselves stuck in a lift, but it reminds Tashi of one of his amazing adventures when he was lost in the city back in his old country. The city is the most exciting place on earth, but getting lost can be a very different story. When Tashi finds himself trapped in a cellar, however, he knows that he’ll need to stay calm and think hard to find a way out.
