I just pray that it actually sinks in to the Governor and the others who want to take away from our kids and from people who need libraries! Why dosn't the Governor take a pay cut instead of continuing to take away from the things we need for education??

I Went to Macomb County Library Today..It was Closed. The Sign Said "For Renovations"...But Really Wayne State Bought The Building, and It Won't Be A Library Any longer. Gov.Granholm Wants To Shut Down ALL Michigan Libraries...ALL...Th...ey Are "Not Cost Effective" My Grandchildren Might Never Know What a "Library" Is??
Hmmm Why Can't Johnny Read?? Maybe It's because He Doesn't Have a Library??......Seems Like It's Always the Books That Go First??

How can you justify the importance of Education without the importance of having a Library to advance that education! Every child should hava a Library card right next to his Birth Certificate and Social Security card! I can tell you which one has ALWAYS been in my wallet! I cannot imagine a world without the the written word and without a Library for a child to learn about the magic in the written word. Please support our Library resources. Thank you...
