It's a noble fight and needs to be a benefactor of eliminating waste, fraud ,and abuses within the system. Any idiot can just keep increasing taxes and sucking the life blood out of the economy!! Know any politicians that fit the bill?

Our state government (US) has a structural deficit, foisted on us by those who thought tax cuts would solve all problems. If this had been the case, our state would now be one of the wealthiest instead of an example of conservative mismanagement.

Finally, somebody tells it like it is! They haven't deliberated anything in the Senate. Everything is behind closed doors. Months ago, I asked many legislators why there was no debate going on. I thought that what was the purpose of a representative body.

Most doctors would actually profit from this, so long as more than 3% of their patients are Medicaid patients. It's not too much to ask. This is good, moral legislation. And BTW, the author does not mention that many doctors DO support it, as shown in the rally last week.

I do agree with you Joahna... and I apologize for being shortsighted. I wouldn't want to see anybody who has worked full time for years and years at a job only to be cut off of the pension they were promised. The court judges are doing that now to many hourly factory workers whose contract called for pension and healthcare for many years. When I ... Read Morespoke about part time people nondeserving of lifetime pensions, I meant for those congressionals who have worked part time for a few years and are promised a full huge pension and healthcare benefits for a lifetime. How fair is that. That should have never happened to begin with. Not in any job do you work a few years and should expect a lifetime of benefits from that short employment. That's what's overwhelming the state and federal budgets. I do agree with people 20 something who need to start saving for their pension years now. But I know it's hard with costs so high and raising a family on a middle class income is not easy and still they have to find a few pennies to save for their retirement years. Now that's really overwhelming but at least they will have the edge if they persevere.
