I agree I don't want to see the slots at monmouth.. Meadowlands definitely has empty room most of the time, so they could fit them, but i wouldn't want to. The best option is to continue what is presently there. The casino's subsidize the tracks. Call it a fee for stealing track customers with their in casino simulcasts.

Why won't the casinos run the slots at the tracks? That way they could get the additional business with the tracks earning the revenue that they need? The state can't figure out how to run the tracks at a profit and the way they screwed up the at home betting( and the OTB parlors that took forever to be built) someone else needs to take it over. ... Read MoreUnfortunately those that could run them are engaged in other out of state activities that could conflict with the mission in New Jersey. Similar to ACRC.

I don't think putting slot machines is a solution, just as the atlantic city casinos did nothing to improve A.C.Maybe the rich in monmouth county ( that primarily are the ones who have horse farms and own horses and throughbreds )could shell out some of their cash from the tax breaks they get that burden the middle class.If people think a chubby prosecutor is the solution are in for a rude awakening.

If only people realized how many jobs the racing industry and the horse industry itself brings into this state not to mention how "green" they keep New Jersey. I sometimes work three jobs to be able to live on my little farm in Monmouth County. We need slots at the racetracks in order to be able to compete with NY & PA.

The 7th Game was the best on that day, its was Photo Finish and No 8 won. It was nail biting finish and awesome experience. I am looking forward for next year and they gave away free pass too.
