Colin Purrington, Associate Professor of Biology, Swarthmore College
Charles Darwin turned 200 in February, and his book On the Origin of Species turns 150 in late November. Colin Purrington, an evolutionary biologist at Swarthmore College who operates the online site The Axis of Evo, will discuss why both the man and ...his work remain significant today and worthy of celebration. He will leave time for the audience to come pose with a life-size cut out of Charles Darwin, so please bring your cameras and remember to wear something presentable. If the audience is good, he will also hand out "Charles Darwin has a posse" stickers and temporary tattoos to promote appreciation of evolution.
