“What’s GREEN got to do with it?” will focus on how small businesses can take the green route during the NWI Small Business Development Center’s networking event from... 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 27 at First Financial Bank, 11890 Broadway, at Broadway and U.S. 231.
“This is achievable, becoming greener and leaner is very much achievable,” Carl said. “It doesn’t take a tremendous amount of money. A lot of it is having a plan and sticking to that plan.”
“Even though they might play a small part, it does make a difference,” Lorrie added. “Just the little things they can do as a small business make a difference on the whole picture.”
Kinetic blends a platform for professional development with an opportunity to network in a social atmosphere.

Northwest Indiana community leaders are collaborating to offer “The Propel
Conference: Taking Small Business to the Next Level” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday Nov. 13 at
Faith Church, 100 81st Avenue.
The event will focus on two tracks: “Starting a Business” and “Growing a Business,” with presentations tailored to each aven...ue. Participants will also have the opportunity to network and meet with representatives from the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center.
The day will also feature success stories from business owners who have overcome challenges and a question-and-answer session. Both potential and current business owners and business students are encouraged to attend.
