It's a new year. It's a fresh start. We'll be hosting our 2...nd networking reception of the new year at Hudson Terrace rooftop. Not surprisingly, Hudson Terrace is just another hidden gem in NYC as far as networking is concerned. Read carefully for the following items. Before you send a question or request to the organizer or assistant organizers, please make sure you've gone through everything on this page.
1. Theme
Business oriented. Business attires expected. RSVP is a must to make it a free event. For people not on the RSVP list, a charge of $10 will apply at the door. You can bring one guest for free. If you tweet about this event with a hyperlink to our website and a hashtag (namely: #NYEBN), you can bring up to 2 guests. The same will apply if you share the event on Facebook. Please send us a note if you do this.
2. Venue
We will have exclusive access for the venue. Expect to network at the main floor most of the time since that's where our vendors & sponsors will be. The 3rd level is accessible but not where the crowd will be. There is area outside if you want to smoke. Scroll down to read more about the venue and see pictures.
3. Vendors/Partners
As usual, we will have tables available for our vendors and partners. We are rolling out a special sponsorship package for 2010. If you are interested in becoming a vendor or sponsor, send a request to Susan Risdal at Susan (at) WebStudio13 (dot) com.
4. Name Tags
We've been getting requests about switching to higher quality name tags this time. The problem with the traditional sticky badges is that they won't stick very well. To remedy this issue, we decided to use the high quality plastic holders for all our networking events going forward. To offset the costs, we ask each member to chip in for their own name tags. Please read carefully about this new rule:
I. If you have your own plastic holder w/ your names in it, you can bring it yourself. In that case, you will not pay for our plastic holders at the door.
II. If you get a plastic holder from us when you check in, it'll cost $1 each. We encourage you to keep the plastic holders so you wouldn't have to pay for it again in the future.
III. No sticky name tags will be tolerated for our future events. Those things fall off easily and won't work well for our networking purposes.
5. Other Things (Important)
I. We will be serving drink specials. It's about $6 or $7 for beer/wine. Mention NYEBN for special price.
II. You must be 21 and older to attend this event. Don't forget to bring your ID.
III. Print out the ticket to speed up the admission process.
6. Sponsors

Both you and I know that 2010 will be the best year ever when it comes to achieving your financial and business goals. What's better than having a big party at the beginning of the year to send a signal of success? Here we go. Our s...econd time at 230 fifth (2nd time is the charm ... LOL). Read on to find out what's different this time.
1. Theme
Business oriented. Bring enough business cards. Be prepared to introduce yourself to both old and new NYEBN members.
2. Venue
Do you know that 230 Fifth just expanded? Their new rooftop space is large and gorgeous. Consider this event as a warming up party for the new space at 230 Fifth. I've checked out the lighting there. It's perfect for our event purpose. The venue is exclusively available for NYEBN from 6 - 9:30 PM (Read more about 230 Fifth venue at the bottom of the page.)
3. Vendors
Ever thought of promoting your brand in front of NYEBN members at our networking events? Now the timing couldn't be better. Your business is guaranteed to grow together with NYEBN! Consider our networking event as a trade show. And our mission is to help you increase your ROI. Email me at info (at) WebStudio13 (dot) com for a rate quote if interested.
4. Admission
NYEBN never charges its members for this type of networking events. Please do put yourself on the RSVP list early to secure your free tickets. As the group grows, our networking event only gets more popular. Free admission for people with "Yes" RSVPs (including guests). $10 charge for non-members or members showing up without Yes RSVPs.

This will be our biggest party of the year. I appreciate all your efforts in building this community together with us. So let's all come out to celebrate our last event in 2009 along with other fearless entrepreneurs. See details... below:
1. What is the theme?
Business/social oriented . Since this is meant to be a holiday party, we are not so strict with the dress code. But make sure you bring enough business cards. Also specify your industry and your full name when you RSVP. All questions need to be answered to complete your registration.
2. How is the venue?
Scroll down to see venue descriptions and pics. Our group will have exclusive access to both the main floor and the rooftop. The venue settings will be fit for our networking purposes. Make a note our event starts at 5:30 PM this time, and it ends at 9 PM. They will probably turn up the music after 9 PM. Just make sure everyone is aware of that.
3. How much does it cost to attend?
It costs $0 if you are a member and you are on the RSVP list. Otherwise, it's $10 per person. As a NYEBN member, you can bring up to 2 more guests without extra charge. Make sure you RSVP early if you wanted to come. You probably know better than me how fast our events usually get filled up.
4. Can I become a featured vendor for this event?
Yes, please contact me early about this. For the Highbar event, we had many people who couldn't get the vending spots because they didn't contact me on time. While I will do my best to accommodate you, for a typical event like this, featured vendor spots are usually very limited. You can email me at Andrew at WebStudio13 dot Com. Or you can contact me directly through our website.
5. Do we have drink specials?
Absolutely. This will probably be the cheapest bargain out of all our events this year. The happy hour drink specials include $5 beer and $5 wine. And everything else is $2 off the regular price. The NYEBN happy hour is from 6-8pm. So don't miss that time for sure.
6. What should I be aware of if I plan to attend this event?
I. Be ready to embrace new things. As an uprising group, we are doing different things to improve the quality of our events. I may have something to surprise you this time.
II. Bring your ID. You need to be at least 21 to attend.
III. Print out the ticket to speed up the admission process. Click here to see a sample of the admission ticket.
IV. Be in the know that the rooftop is heated. And we won't get interrupted by bad weather as well.
V. Spread the word! And have fun:-)
