I am a current student, just submitted assignment 1. My only complaint is the time I have to use trying to get through informatuion that is outdated or irrelivant (film photography). I am strictly digital and will always be. I would be happier if my study material was focused on digital.

See, I love my film but am not too sure about digital yet and want to do both better. I only switched from film to dgital because it is really hard to find good processing. So, those of you who are using this program, is there enough digital AND film information to really be helpful? I am really leaning toward doing this very soon but want to make sure both are adequately covered. Thanks for the comments so far.

Dave!

If you're still having problems getting your hands on a lesson, be sure to give your advisor a call. We're open 9-5 ET...I guess that's 5-1 in AK. Or send your advisor an email. Check your Facebook inbox for a message.

Sheila A. Buckley Stone I've gone to several military balls where they have a photog come out and take your pic then your image comes up on a laptop for viewing and they all look print-ready immediately.... So I'm wondering how do they do that - what system requirements/sw would one need to have that kind of instant gratification?

Let's pick nits: The images on the laptop "look print-ready." But does the print image look like the laptop image? And more importantly is that what you're asking? If you just want images on your monitor immediately after taking a photo, you need an image viewing program and the camera connected to your computer. I'll trade you more info for more question.

An image viewing program... like MS Picture Viewer or like Adobe Lightroom?

it would be nice to have one for temporary storage of my recent shots... but for it to replace laptops during travel? maybe not, I prefer looking at a bigger screen and probably posting some photos online right away...

I agree, I do not like the idea of "replacing" my laptop during travel

I don't even HAVE a laptop yet. I still have to bring home my cards and download them into my computer memory. ::::sigh::::: I also have a back up card that holds all my photos just in case I need to restore them, you know?? :::::smile::::::: I just know that if you are giivng away your laptop in lieu of some new gadget......remember your friend here in Lebanon, Maine. :::::smile:::::: Of course I know you will. :::::smile:::::

Chrystal Wise

Chrystal Wise I have been thinking about starting the course for about 5 or 6 months now. I'm hoping to get some things taken care of and start soon.
