Several movie studios wooed Prokofiev, including Walt Disney, who wanted him for Fantasia. He visited Hollywood and learned a lot about the techniques of filmmakers and composers. He applied what he learned there when he scored back in Russia the Eisenstein film, Alexander Nevsky.

Chris Botti was truly amazing!!!

I've been a fan of Chris for 10 years, but this was my first time attending one of his concerts. He gave an incredible performance and took my breath away with his amazing ability to play music. I really enjoyed the way he allows each member of his band to demonstrate their skills. I also enjoyed the guest stars. ... Read MoreIt was one of the best concerts I've ever attended. I also greatly enjoyed the insightful stories of his life.

And thanks to the NSO for the overall volume.
