Abby Castile Soap-- Does anyone use pure olive oil castile soap (without coconut)? Would Nature's Gift be interested in supplying it? I'd love to have a good source.

We used to offer a Calendula Chamomile Castile... no coconut, and as I remember over 90% olive oil.. Unfortunately the last couple of bars just sold out w/in the past month. perhaps after the first of the year there will be time for me to continue training the crew in my soapmaking. but I don't know yet.

Katie Friedland Does anyone have anything to say about Blue Lotus? What is it like, what do you think it blends well with? I have pink lotus but have never tried blue. Any info would be great! Thanks!

Katie, in my experience all of the Lotus absolutes tend to be "love 'em or hate 'em" oil... Next time you order, request a sample of the blue and the white, we'll be glad to send them.

Coriander might be really nice. Kiehl's makes one, and I'm sure that yours would be better.

Busy traveling, and haven't been on your website for a while, hence I missed announcement of book. And I forget to check your Facebook page too, which would have alerted me! Caught up via your monthly ezine. Still, regardless of when I got it, it is truly magnificent!

Gale Lane Smith My pastors wife just had a baby and the baby has thrush really bad, the baby has been on medicine for it already and it hasn't helped, the mom is allergic to trees, so I would be afraid to use tea tree with the baby, any I was thinking bergamot and niaouli, or lemon and niaouli mixed with honey or even in plain yogurt. any suggestions out there, the baby is a little over a month old.

It sounds like you are contemplating internal use...for a one month old? I'd not... and there's all sorts of warnings against using honey for babies under a year (it can contain botulism spores, I think.) My first thought would be swabbing her mouth with yogurt...that could help, and could soothe. I'd be very cautious about using ANY essential ... Read Moreoils in this case..I'm sorry.

Now..I'm assuming the thrush is in the babies mouth..perhaps wrongly. WHERE is it? that makes a difference! might be some suggestions.. Worwood's healthy child does have some suggestions, but a lot depends on where the infection is showing.

You are right, I had forgetten about the honey problem, but remembered after I posted. The baby has finally started responding to the medicine. I let the mom borrow my book on the Healthy Child by Worwood, and will let her see the alternatives. I suggested diffusing oils in the house to help with germs, they seem to all keep a cold. Thanks again... Read More for the advice. Do you know of a chart that would list an alternative to an oil if someone were to be allergic to a particular oil? I really dislike geranium and I have a friend that hates lavender, just curious. Thanks again.

Don't truly know of a chart... but what you can do is compare oils that have the property you want, and look for others that have the same property...for example, if the reason for choosing Lavender is for relaxation, or sleep-inducing, try Green Mandarine instead. If for it's antibacterial properties..look at other anti-bacterials that are also skin safe. make sense?

Help, please! I was going to order some lavender and tea tree because I'm out. I use it for cleaning the house, cleaning wounds, and acne. I'm overwhelmed by the varieties and can't afford to sample them all right now! I also have family members with depression and anger issues and feeling overwhelmed. I was think...ing about getting some more bergamot. Maybe orange? We also have respiratory problems every winter and with H1N1 going through the schools, I need some advice for combating the winter germs. I'm new to this company, but my Aromatherapy teacher is one of your "friends"! Are there a few essential oils that can multi-task well and help with all of the above issues?Read More

Okay...for viral flu... either Ravensara or Ravintsara (you can read about the differences, and which to choose for your situation on the website.) I'd go with the Lavender Mailette...I think far better quality than the Bulgarian, and one of our lower cost ones. For depression and anger..go with your favorite Citrus oils... Orange is a smile ... Read Morebringer and low priced. One of the Euc's for respiratory.. either smithii or radiata (personal preference..I'm not a big fan of the Globulous.) The Tea Tree Light is a bit aromatically more pleasant, but for germkilling I'd stick with the Robust.. OR lemon Myrtle (leptospermon petersonii) TERRIFIC lemony scented germ killer for the diffuser. (NOT for use on the skin!) Request samples of our Citrus Smile (anti-depressant) and ... thinking.. FluFoil (I'd suggest ordering that, but trying to keep the cost down for you!) Does this help? Also check the Specials page..some of what you need is there..and get your order in today for the Fri. the 13th special. Does that help some?

If I wasn't seeing it with my own eyes, I'd have a hard time believing this. Yesterday evening my son developed a fever of 103.4. I have been diffusing FluFoil & GermBeater daily since September. As I tucked him in bed last night I placed drops of FluFoil on his pillow and a little on his hands. I also put it in an ...aromastone in his room. When I checked on him at 10pm, his fever was gone! This morning, still no fever! (still kept him home from school) I've moved the aromastone downstairs w/ us now but ran out of FluFoil and am using Pinion Pine and spraying pillows & blankets w/ Lavender.Read More

What really hurts is you come up with what you think is a brilliant name, and find that someone on a forum has raved about the product.."in spite of its rather cheesy name"... sigh. So much for inspiration! ;(
