Valerie Amsterdam great job, Carolyn

Irene Rosario Today was great! I now know to save money and put it into my savings account as if I was paying myself. To everyone else out there remember to put away money as if it was an expense. Thanks again and to girls Inc. As well.

Hello everyone!!!!! Hope everyone is well.... I am happy to join The New York Women Foundation as I have worked and attended the 2006/2007 Girls Congress and Networking events for young women.
I am one of three partners of a non-profit organization (The Haliyma Barrow Foundation) Preventing and stopping teen pregnancy.... Within the organization, I am the Business Development/ Marketing Dr.
This role did not come so easily. I am a product of teen pregnancy and experienced many years of hardships, starting from living in foster care, abuse (verbal, sexually and physically), the lost of self identity and fighting for a better life and seeking a Higher Education. My brother, sister and I have broken the cycle! However, there are many youth who do not know they have the determination or the will to fight and take control of their destiny. We are a new organization base in NYC. We need your help! I need your help!!!!! Please send me a mail with any advice anyone may have, any social eRead More

The New York Women's Foundation We are delighted to call to your attention last Sunday’s New York Times Magazine (August 23, 2009) – a special issue on women and girls. As noted in the article “Saving the World’s Women” by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, “The world is awakening to a powerful truth: Women and girls aren’t the problem; they’re the solution.”
Source: www.nytimes.com
The liberation of women could help solve many of the world’s problems, from poverty to child mortality to terrorism.

The New York Women's Foundation The Foundation is proud to honor the work of two inspirational New York couples, Sheryl WuDunn and Nicholas D. Kristof and Elizabeth and Herbert Sturz at our Fall Dinner, "Stepping Out and Stepping Up", on October 14, 2009.
