WLOS ABC 13 News 13 helped Ingles and MANNA Food Bank kick off the 17th annual Ingles Giving Tree Effort tonight. Jason Boyer was live at Asheville Mall to light the Giving Tree. 43 Ingles stores will be collecting food for MANNA FoodBank from now until January 7th. Also, donations of food and money can be made at the Ingles Giving Tree, located in the Asheville Mall outside of Barnes and Noble until December 24th.

WLOS ABC 13 More North Carolinians are expected to travel this Thanksgiving weekend, despite a 63 cents a gallon average increase in gas prices compared to a year ago. AAA Carolinas is predicting 1,167,000 will travel more than 50 miles from home, an increase of 2.3%. The average price of gasoline statewide has begun declining recently and the average price today is $2.593 compared to $2.606 a month ago.
