As everyone knows, the Atlanta office is a competitive group that loves to have fun. With this in mind, Elyse Solomon, VP GSM Custom Media, came up with the 1st annual Atlanta Office Field Day. The event started with door decorating, and each team decorated the GSMs office doors. Creatively ruled, and “The Office” t...hemed door took first prize. It’s strange how similar Jason Kaplan looks to The Office’s “Jim”.
Then, the Atlanta Office decided to kick it old school and do a traditional field day! HOTlanta is one of the few places where it hits 75 degrees in October. The AC/AAs dressed in white and the GSM/ADs dressed in intimidating black (Jason Sommer forgot and wore red).
The events consisted of a water balloon toss where the team of Jason and Elyse stayed dry enough to take home the victory. Next was the egg run, where Jeremy Barlow's hunchbacked style took the prize. In the hula hoop contest, Jenna Nudleman won the “hula hooping war” against Alain Skillings. Tug of water proved that the GSM/ADs are stronger (or at least they weigh more). And for the grand finale, we played kick ball. There were some intense moments with Jason Kaplan’s diving kickball catch and Kelly Amon’s great defense. Everyone had a good time, but most importantly, the GSM/ADs won!
What team building day would be complete without beers, chips and Jay Z? Fun was had by all. Special thanks to Sarah Lindholm who made a guest appearance as the “impartial” referee. Read More
