Bonnie Webb Egbert I just registered for the marathon April 25, 2010. I did the very first one and ran it in memory of Frankie Ann Merrell. Came back the second year and ran for Frankie again. I am so excited to be coming back again. I hope that I can run for Frankie Ann Merrell again for the 10th anniversary of the marathon! :-)

Hello fellow runners! I am considering doing my first marathon at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon 2010. I have been a runner for years but have never completed more than the half marathon distance. I have looked up numerous training programs and have found so many different programs ranging from training 6 days a w...eek to as little as 3 days. Another difference I have found is the walk/run aspect of running a marathon. To be honest I have always been a NEVER walk type runner, but I have also never faced 26.2 miles...So my question is, I would like to know what program you have used to train and do you suggest the walk/run method for the marathon distance?
