Angela Harrell Ayers Wanted to give a shout out to the Ocracoke School and I believe the Ocracoke Fire Department for having a FANTASTIC SPOOKY TRAIL on October 30th. Brandon, Quincy & Rebecca said it was the best haunted trail they have ever been on. P.S. they are all over 30 years old, and the guys I believe screamed like girls. LOL!!!

i feel better just finding this site....Ocracoke has been a part of my life since 1967, shortly after they put the road in....camping with picnic tables braced against the tent, boiling the water, chasing ghost crabs.

I hope that everyone is having a safe but fun Halloween.
I probably should've posted this earlier this month when I got married but I wanted to thank those that were involved with finding a suit for one of my ring bearers. For those of you that hadn't heard, we came to Ocracoke minus a tuxedo for one of the ringbearers..., he's 5yrs old and has been looking forward to playing the part since May. The day of the wedding the tuxedo was never delivered... his family frantically began to ask people in the shops/school for help... it was amazing how many people got involved and began the search for a suit. And as luck would have it, someone posted on facebook about our problem and next thing you know we had a suit, the perfect fit and all!!!
We love sharing our wonderful story with all our family and friends and it amazes us each day that goes by how everything came together, but our wedding couldn't have been as magical without all your help. So we say THANK YOU to all those involved and to your wonderful island for making our special day so amazing.
We look forward to visiting each year and we're so happy to have found our home away from home.
